I have been to both Paha Sapa and Paha Mota. I have looked accross the prarie from the summit of Paha Mota to the black hills (Paha Sapa). I am thank full for the kindness of the Lakota on my journey. I believe they should have as much cerimonial access to the hills as is possible. I believe it is there land; however it will never be the same as it was. It is a historic area and should be protected as much as possible.

Perhaps the current problems visited upon the United States and the people there are in retribution for the injustices inflicted upon a great people and their lands where they originated. The importance of consideration of other people and their history may one day be better understood and accepted. The price to be paid for past indiscretions may be great. Perhaps greater than what can be imagined.
